Earth Day Festival
In celebration of Earth Day, we will be hosting an all-ages festival in Lardner’s Point Park that will include an outdoor cleanup, environmental demos/vendors/activities, info from our friends at Sportmaster Bait and Tackle, Go Philly Go, Tacony Branch Library, Wissahickon Environmental Center, Dietz & Watson and a FREE yoga class with Marghi Insignares! Also food for sale from delicious Chef Johnny Bravo’s truck!
WHEN: 10am – 4pm (See schedule breakdown below)
WHERE: Lardner’s Point Park (5202 Levick Street Philadelphia) Under the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
10am: Free Yoga on the Pier with Marghi Insignares
** BRING YOUR OWN YOGA MAT!
11am – 2pm: Geocaching, STEM activities, kids games, Fishing Lessons and more!
12pm-3pm: Free hot dogs from Dietz and Watson (while supplies last); Food for sale from Chef Johnny Bravo’s Surf and Turf
2-4pm: Volunteering across the park with Riverfront North
*we’ll also have volunteer cleanup activities from 10am – 2pm on an individualized basis.
**Remember to use Go Philly Go to find alternative transportation. Parking is limited at Lardner’s Point Park, so if the lot is full, there is additional parking at Devereaux St. or at the Frankford Boat Launch (Entrance at 5650 Tacony Street) where you’ll have to walk a short distance to reach Lardner’s, but you get to experience the beauty of the K&T Trail!
