FREE Guided Nature Walks at Pennypack on the Delaware

Free Themed Guided Nature Hikes

See the “Wild Side” of Northeast Philadelphia

Did you ever think you’d see a fox in Tacony or a beaver in Holmesburg? You’d be surprised at the nature that is thriving along the banks of the Delaware River along the trails and parks of Riverfront North in Northeast Philadelphia.  That is why Riverfront North Partnership is hosting a series of Free Guided Nature Walks with other nature partners to highlight these wild and wonderful park friends. The series held its first walk in April during the City Nature Challenge.  There will be three additional dates where you can learn more about what is really living in the parks (click on the dates to register for reminders about the event):

May 11th – INSECTS IN THE PARK

July 27th – REPTILES IN THE PARK

Nov. 23rd – BIRDS IN THE PARK

“There is so much natural life right under our noses here at Pennypack on the Delaware” said Riverfront North Partnership’s Stewardship Manager, John Jensen. “We are excited to show the community members of the riverfront neighborhoods the diverse ecosystem of creatures that exist in our shared backyard along the Delaware.”
