Battling Invasive Species

All summer long, the Riverfront North Partnership stewardship team has been battling invasive species. Some of the most common plant and bug invaders include:

 

Mugwort

Japanese Knotweed

Spotted Lanternfly

Garlic Mustard

Devil’s Tail

Multiflora Rose

JAPANESE KNOTWEED

In July, stewardship staff hauled away ten truckloads of removed knotweed, revealing beautiful riverfront views at Pennypack on the Delaware Park. See the before and after shots below:
