The Riverfront North Greenway is more than an 11-mile network of parks and trails;
it is a destination for Philadelphians to gather, a connection to the outdoors, a place for learning, community building, discovery, and so much more. RNP might build and care for the physical greenway, but the true heart of our spaces comes from the incredible community we have had the honor of cultivating over the past 20+ years.
As the Riverfront North Greenway continues to grow, we are excited to offer opportunities that are accessible and meaningful to our community, part of this initiative includes the expansion of RNP Park Memorialization Program, which will now offer opportunities to purchase trees, plaques, and/or benches to honor loved ones who have left a lasting impact on the Riverfront North Greenway.
RNP Park Memorialization is only available currently along the Port Richmond Trail, within Robert A. Borski Jr. Park, and at Pennypack on the Delaware.
Please note that there will be a yearly cap of 10 memorial trees. Trees planted will be determined in coordination with RNP Stewardship staff and will only be native species to increase biodiversity. Additionally, the timing of the planting is weather-dependent and may be part of an overarching planting strategy.
