800 New Plants for Borski Park’s Shoreline
In a collaborative three-day effort between RNP, PowerCorps PHL, and All Seasons Landscaping, the shoreline at Borski Park is now home to 800 new native plants and shrubs that will protect the shoreline and support the river’s ecosystems without obscuring the river view:
- Beauty Berry
- Red Osier Dogwood
- Northernbush Honeysuckle
- Sweet Pepperbush
- New Jersey Tea
- Coral Berry
- Red Osier Dogwood
- Sweetspire
- Fragrant sumac
This project was made possible by funding from USDN‘s Community Forestry Corps (CFC) Grant Program, which emphasizes youth workforce development, community engagement and education, and equitable urban greening by enhancing urban tree canopies, green spaces, and reducing heat islands.
An enormous thank you to all who made this project possible!
