On Saturday, October 9, Bridesburg got a whole lot tidier!  Thanks to the leadership Jerry Houck of the Boys and Girls Club, Yvonne Stephens and some funding from BIG, crews of staff/members of the Boys and Girls Club, Riverfront North and Bridesburg residents tackled the Bridge Street and Orthodox Street corridors, plus all around the Recreation Center.   Thank you to all of those who gave up a couple of hours of their Saturday morning to show some pride in community.

Thanks to Renzi’s Pizza for providing lunch to the volunteers, the Ice Cream Post for donating ice cream coupons, and for Point-No-Point for opening their doors to enjoy lunch.  Lastly, thanks to Rep Joe Hohenstein who was at his own community event in Port Richmond, shared his support and supplies to help the cleanup.
