Summer Summary
It was quite a summer along the trails and parks of Riverfront North. We are grateful for all of you who participated at our volunteer days and to those who attended our community programs and community meetings. So much happened over these past few months we want to recap all of the progress and fun as well as look forward to a fall of great programming!
MASTER PLAN
Hundreds of you voice your opinions and helped shape the Master Plan update for Riverfront North Partnership. We appreciate all of your feedback and will use it to guide the vision of the river parks and connector streets.
MOVIE NIGHTS
Families and friends near and far gathered for movies under the stars by the river. For the first time ever, we held a very pleasant screening of “Brave” from our free outdoor movie series at Pleasant Hill Park. Tradition continued at Pennypack on the Delaware where we showed a classic, “The Goonies”. Our friends from the Insectarium brought along everyone’s favorite critters to learn about, and Councilman Bobby Henon provided water ice for all! We even had classic Philadelphia favorite, Peanut Chews, on hand at movie nights thanks to sponsor Just Born Inc. If you missed out on these movies, don’t worry! There are still two movies in the series left! Join us Thursday, September 19th at 7pm in the lawn of Bridesburg Recreation Center for an action packed evening with “Avengers: Infinity War”. Or get spooky with us on October 17th at Pennypack on the Delaware where we will be showing “Goosebumps 2” starting at 6pm.
VOLUNTEERING
We can’t say thank you enough to all of the volunteers who stopped by at our “drop-in” days, or who participated as part of a group. We’d especially like to thank Comcast, Peace Corps, Arcadia University, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, for their help beautifying the trails and parks of Riverfront North.
