140 New Trees Planted!
This week, with the help of our partners TD Bank and their #TDTreeDays initiative, as well as Arbor Day Foundation , Riverfront North Partnership was able to plant over 140 trees along the banks of the Delaware River in Pennypack On The Delaware! This hardworking group of over 30 volunteers helped in a massive native forest restoration project in the north woods where over 500 trees have been planted this year, helping beautify the park, restoring habitat for the native wildlife and creating a riparian buffer along the riverbanks.
On this planting day, we also received support in the form of tree planting leaders from the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Stewardship Department as well as the Friends of Pennypack Park.
