Riverfront North Partnership Announces New Executive Director

A new chapter in the River Renaissance on the Delaware River

 

Philadelphia – May 18th, 2018 –  Philadelphia non-profit Riverfront North Partnership is thrilled to announce the selection of its new Executive Director: Stephanie Phillips. In her role, Stephanie will continue to grow, guide and  implement the mission to reconnect the community to the river.

“I am inspired by Riverfront North Partnership’s commitment to connecting the people who live and work in Northeast Philadelphia to their beautiful riverfront and trail. Having access to nature is essential to the health and vibrancy of our community, and the board and staff of Riverfront North Partnership have achieved so many milestones in reaching this goal. It is an incredible team of board, staff, and partners. I am honored to build on their success and grow our community even more” said Phillips.

Riverfront North Partnership is dedicated to building an 11-mile linear network of parks and trails extending south to Allegheny Avenue in the Port Richmond neighborhood and north to the Poquessing Creek in the Torresdale neighborhood, in partnership with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. Along with the creation of the greenway itself, Riverfront North Partnership creates programming for the neighboring communities and provides enhanced environmental maintenance and stewardship.

Stephanie joins Riverfront North Partnership from Bartram’s Garden, where she served on the executive team as Senior Director of Strategy and Resource Development, overseeing relationships and fundraising strategies for the Garden’s award-winning river, education, and urban agriculture programs..

Her responsibilities included creating and implementing a fund development plan, board relations, strategic planning, and operations management. She has over 20 years of nonprofit development experience and serves on the board of the Mount Moriah Cemetery Preservation Corporation in Southwest Philadelphia. Stephanie has an undergraduate degree in art history and earned an MS in historic preservation from the University of Pennsylvania.

Riverfront North Partnership, a charitable nonprofit organization, is dedicated to building an 11-mile linear network of parks and trails extending south to Allegheny Avenue in the Port Richmond neighborhood and north to the Poquessing Creek in the Torresdale neighborhood.
