RIVERFRONT NORTH PARTNERSHIP LAUNCHES MINI-GRANT PROGRAM FOR BRIDESBURG COMMUNITY PROJECTS

$500 Grants Now Available for Community and Outdoor Projects in Bridesburg

Today, Riverfront North Partnership launched the Bridesburg Impact Grants (BIG) program.  This program offers $500 grants for creative and impactful projects in the Bridesburg community. Successful projects will focus on activities that provide opportunities for Bridesburg residents to interact with the nature and with each other.

The BIG program is open to anyone in the 19137 zip-code that has a great idea for outdoor, intergenerational, or artistic activities. “There are so many great things happening in Bridesburg right now, and we know there are more interesting ideas out there. We are excited to help make some of those visions a reality with our neighbors” said Gina Craigo, Community Engagement Manager at Riverfront North Partnership.

Grants will be awarded between now and August 2020. Applications will be accepted and grants awarded on a rolling-basis from March 1st to August 1st.  All projects/programs should be complete within three months of their acceptance. For more details on guidelines, qualifications and how to apply, visit riverfrontnorth.org/thinkbig or call 215-425-8350.

BIG grants are made by Riverfront North Partnership and the Bridesburg Community Advisory Committee, with support from The William Penn Foundation, as part of the development of a new 10-acre riverfront park in Bridesburg. Riverfront North Partnership and the City of Philadelphia are securing funding for Phase 1 Construction of the park and are anticipating an opening as early as 2022.
